01/26/2010 - First Doctor's Appointment - TWO heartbeats! OMG - It's TWINS! Both babies measuring at 8w, 1d!
02/15/2010 - Both babies doing great! Measuring 11w, 1d and 11w, 2d!!
02/19/10 - MFM consultation: Small amount of antibodies in blood; not expected to be a problem for babies/me during pregnancy. Will be monitoring blood every trimester to check levels.
03/02/10 - Impromptu appointment due to spotting. Babies look good!; unknown cause of spotting.
03/23/10 - All is well. One baby's heart rate was around 155bpm. Both babies had strong heartbeats visible on ultrasound. No picture though. :-(
04/14/10 - Ultrasound - both babies are growing perfectly!
04/20/10 - Up 14lbs.; BP 132/82; Baby a heart rate is 158, Baby B heart rate is 156. Slight concern with Baby B based on u/s result - going for follow-up ultrasound on 5/4/10.
5/4/10 - Follow-up ultrasound
5/11/10 - Up 18lbs.; BP 117/76; Baby a heart rate is 153, Baby B heart rate is 145. U/S results look good on Baby B - echogenic intracardia focus still present on Baby B.
5/26/10 - Growth Ultrasound - Baby A estimated to weigh 2lbs., Baby B estimated to weigh 2lbs., 2oz!
5/26/10 - Weight (up 22 lbs??), BP and Urine testing all good. Babies’ heart rates are good!
6/11/10 - Up 23lbs., passed 1 hour glucose test (yay!), CBC results (specifically iron levels) "great" according to Dr. D., BP 118/66 (!), babies heart rates are 155 and 145! Both babies are head down right now... ! Stretch mark count: at least 8. AH!
6/22/10 - OB check-up - Weight steady - still up 23lbs. BP great - 117/76... Babies’ heart rates are in high 140s - 150s.
6/22/10 - Growth U/S: Baby A is estimated at weighing 3lbs., 15oz; Baby B is estimated at 3lbs., 13oz (83rd and 80th percentile). Both babies are head-down right now (vertex). Estimated due date (EDD) could be changed to August 19-22 based on babies' measurements.
7/7/10 - OB check-up - Weight up 8lbs., BP high (around 140s/90s), reflexes rapid, swelling bad... possible early signs of pre-eclampsia. Sent to Labor & Delivery for monitoring. Lab results normal, BP eventually down, heart rates good - sent home to follow up with OB on Friday.
7/9/10 - BP follow-up with Dr. D - BP good, swelling down, weight down 4lbs. from Wednesday. BP medication not increased, BP will be monitored twice a week, along with NSTs starting next week.

7/19/10 - Growth U/S - Baby A is estimated to weigh 5lbs., Baby B is estimated at 4 lbs., 14 oz.
7/20/10 - NST
7/20/10 - OB check-up - blood pressure ok - 136/82. Still recommended to stay on modified bed rest.

7/27/10 - OB check-up - blood pressure ok - 140/76. Quick ultrasound revealed both babies still head down and are practicing breathing!

8/2/10 - OB check-up - blood pressure ok. Quick ultrasound revealed both babies still head down and amniotic fluid levels still good. Dr. D still wants to schedule induction by 38 weeks.

8/10/10 - OB check-up. Strep B test; blood pressure high (150s/100s); sent to L&D for monitoring. Babies looked good on monitor, blood pressure still elevated but blood work came back normal. Contractions occurring every 8 minutes; dilation not checked. Sent home to do 24 hr urine collection and increase BP medications.

8/16/10 - Growth Ultrasound. Baby A estimated at 6lbs, 8.5oz; Baby B estimated weighing 6lbs., 3oz. Initial concern of Baby B's fluid being low was unfounded. Legs still measuring long = tall babies in our future!
8/17/10 - OB check-up and NST. Babies look good on NST. BP slightly high again at 146/90. 3cm dilated, 70% effaced, -1 station. Woohoo - maybe babies will be here before induction date.

8/23/10 - Growth U/S follow-up to check fluid and placentas
8/23/10 - NST at hospital - Because BP was high and u/s revealed low fluid on Baby B, Dr. D decides to start induction!
8/24/10 - Happy Birthday Abigail and James!! Baby A is Abigail Grace: born at 3:12pm, weighing 6lbs., 9oz and 20 inches long. Baby B is James Robert Jr.: born at 3:14pm, weighing 5lbs., 110z and 19 inches long!
8/28/10 - Released from hospital - first night home with Abby and Jimmy!
